Happy chinese new year!:)

Chinese new year is all about traditions and routine.

To eat a particular kind of dish for the first day of cny, to have that same bunch of relatives come over to visit in that exact same sequence every year (and to visit them in the same sequence as well.), to go to the temple after the cny countdown to 插头香 etc etc.

Feels like I just left.

That sense of nostalgia hit me as I was walking up the hill towards ahs. I was thinking how I used to take this very same path, just that in the opposite direction, with my "home" gang - Ehren, Ivan, Pohchun, Leon, Juncheng and some other guys. We took that path way before the government decide to build a concrete pathway. We took that path way before there were any condos built next to it. I remember how we had to check our soles to see if we stepped on any dog shit, and how we'll scare each other by insisting that the mud on our soles is dog shit, lol. Childish, but those were the days.

And then a greater sense of nostalgia came when the security guard uncle waved to me from afar. Still can't believe that he recognises me! I graduated in 2008, and it's already 2012! Feels like nothing has changed.

People come and go, juniors become seniors, and then seniors become alumni. Young alumni becomes old alumni, and some just vanish( I mean, we don't see them coming back anymore.) I didn't know 90% of those people in the bandroom when I stepped in today, (At least I stepped out knowing more people, not forgetting to credit facebook.) but the room is still pretty much the same. That Ikea cupboard that fiona and I assembled still stands there, that "祖先" photo is still on the wall, files filled with old scores with our names written on it are still lying all around. That xylophone with splinters still sound as bright, and that gong, despite having dropped X times, still sound.. gong-ish (lol.)

We were once like that. While we were slugging our guts out practising (complaining at the same time), we were still happy. There's not one day where we didn't laugh enough; we laughed too much, lol.

AHS is still my second home, and AHBand is like my second family. It does have the structure of a real family anyway. People come and go, just like in a family, just like in a band.

I worry on days like this. 我是不是还没走出去？

Misa, Selina and I headed over to The Courtyard at The Fullerton Hotel yesterday for our little afternoon tea!

It is pretty expensive, costing us $50 each, but all the food is refillable. However the selection is quite limited, so I don't think I'll see myself heading back there again anytime soon.

Christmas and then 2012!

It's been a while since we last cooked our christmas feast. Maybe it's not that long after all, just 2 years actually.

This year feels like a long year to me, maybe because there's something eventful happening every now and then?

2011 has been pretty good, except for the fact that my trustable social circle is getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller.. (pathetic.)

Christmas dinner that marks our 11th year together!

So we went to muchen's house for dinner yesterday night. Although only 4 of us turned up in the end, the dinner was still awesome!

I got a shock when i saw the elaborate dinner set up! So formal! The food was daebak!(Y)

so finally, I finished my first sem. Can't call myself a first year first sem student anymore, but well it feels great:)

So it was lunch at astons+movie+bras basah with emily, misa and selina first

then somerset to look for sarah and jeremy. Novena for dinner(ssikkek ftw!), kembangan for car, east coast for starbucks and then marina barrage to chill.

Last ESL407 class + going to places I've never been to before.

ESL407 is my favourite mod this sem. Love the class, love what I learn there, or at least it's the easiest one out of the five.

was supposed to go jam during the 5 hours break. But it was cancelled in the end cos we couldn't find a studio close to our school, and sam and i ended up eating from one place to another on the pretext of looking for a studio, lol!

It felt so weird, exploring places that I've never been to before. How big is Singapore?!

Dim Sum and You are the apple of my eye!

As a big fan of 九把刀, I definitely have to catch his movie! And i'm so glad that it wasn't a disappointment.

It is a really great movie:) The book is nice in its own ways, and so is the movie.

The male lead is really good looking okay, and the female lead is pretty too. That said, the movie is "action" packed. gosh.

went to the Loud Festival, which in my opinion, was the perfect way to end my school week.

Not that this week in school was horrible or what. But well, I am a self-proclaimed concert junkie! Love attending all sorts of concerts/gigs.

AND THERE WAS SODAGREEN! omg so happy to see them! When most of the people there were supporting Jay chou, i was like sodagreen!!!! There was wen lan and cindy yen too. and Singapore's very own ang mo pai!(Do support our local talents!)

要支持好音乐，更要支持本地音乐, it sounded so sad when the ang mo pai guy said that.

I took alot of photos actually, but the quality sucked. Plus i'm too tired and lazy to post them, so i'm only posting like a handful.

I was already at Pasir Ris mrt station when i received a message saying that my ESL teacher is down with food poisoning so the lesson is cancelled! But we'll still have to tap our cards for attendance.

But thankfully, wanz's friend offered to help tap her(our) card so I am at home now! Shall set off at 10am later.

I'm so proud of you, brother!

I look so cui in all the photos! Maybe cos i'm tired from school and that place was quite hot la.

Actually I only expected to see brother and pohchun there, but who knows edmund and xuanhao was there too! And if i'm not wrong, i think chengqian was there as well.

Luckily Wilson took the cab with me to share to cost! Taking cab is super expensive nowadays.

Brother's parents sent us (inggrid, yile and I ) home after that, and we kind of saw the F1 thing going on! The sound alone is super exciting. Fine, someday I'm going to buy the tickets and watch the match live.

Contagion with nan ren last night!

Somehow, my eyes were tilted in this typical "happy eyes manner" that you always see in drawings or cartoons in most of the photos i took yesterday. Weird hahaha!

Mayday's 3DNA Concert Movie on Thursday!

I think this movie is more of a reflection for us fans since there's really nothing exciting about it, all footage are from the previous concerts anyway.

I guess I am coping well in school, but I'm feeling really guilty tonight for not doing any schoolwork and posting here instead! Very bad.

I'm already starting to miss days when I don't have to go to school and can just slack all day at home.

I don't know, maybe you'll find my writing style lousy, or that my vocab is like.. not considered as vocab at all, but i really feel proud of my article/blog, and i really feel proud of myself!

Although I'm feel really tired now, having to work on it till wee hours (okay to me, anytime past 11pm is wee hours.), I feel very satisfied. In fact, I don't even have to force myself to work through it, I just felt happy writing it. Or maybe it's the subject that i wrote about.

I feel like...I'm a step closer to my dream of being a journalist! I shall happily go to sleep now, and I'll try to upload the photos i took tomorrow, or asap.

In short, I was stoked.

Well who wouldn't when your idol actually waves to you! To you, not like a general wave to the people at that area, but just you! like a one to one moment!

I really have to thank the fans in front of my who were there for the hongkong singers! They were really nice to let me stand in front when 队长 performed! And wanz as well, cos if it wasn't for her paramore encounter, I wouldn't have thought of making a board

So what happened was, I managed to stand right in front during luguangzhong's performance, and i think i was the only luguangzhong fan standing right in front since the whole front row was dominated by the hongkong fan club( I call them hongkong fan club cos the girl told me that they generally support all hongkong singers and actor/actresses)(and, chinyee and i went 2 hours earlier to queue but we only managed to get a 3rd row position!) and i also made a small little board

yup that was the side he saw, the one which says 队长! I even took the effort to write in traditional chinese okay!

So anyway he saw my board and waved at me! Like he pointed at my board to show that he saw my board and waved at me!! omg! starstruck.

like what chinyee said, it really feels surreal to be able to see him.

thankfully, the bastard security staff there didn't spoil my night.

I was so happy that I couldn't sleep last night! And even though I only had like 3 hours of sleep, I didn't feel tired

All the other performers there were absolutely fantastic. An awesome night which was far too short

Errrr.... I hope I didn't overpack...

I hate green. I hate purple and blue as well. No offence to the the previous house that I was in, Triton, and the house that I'm in right now, Omoja? I just feel sad:( You know, the triton shirt was one of the first few shirts I threw away right after my A's.. Can't believe I had to buy 2 green shirts yesterday just for the orientation camp tomorrow.

I have no sleeping bag so I'm just going to sleep on a yoga mat.(The bolster looking thing near the green shirt is the yoga mat) And that green cloth you see behind the pink bag is the shirt I'm going to wear tomorrow.

I hope we will not be tekan-ed like siau and I will be able to survive to see Thursday coming. (Just exaggerating.)

6 days in Sydney(that left us bored for the last 2 days)

I got to say that their night view is awesome. Or more of, the night view from our apartment is awesome! (Our apartment was on the 66th floor)

I can't say that there's nothing much to do there, with museums and stuff all around. But we weren't interested in visiting museums, so in the end we didn't know what to do for the last 2 days.

All my life I always thought that the surface of the opera house is white and smooth. I didn't know that it's actually a tile surface which was kind of yellowish..(I guess it's supposed to be white?)

And, it's smaller than what i expected it to be.

People there are less friendly, and at the end of the trip i realise that I miss Singapore and can't wait to get home soon.

(Ugly) Crab Cakes

It's so difficult trying to find tinned crab meat in Singapore! Had to go all the way to cold storage to get them.

I've been wanting to try them whenever i see them on the menus but they are abit expensive. Now I understand that it's really because of the crab. Each tinned crab meat costs $7!

An afternoon with 2 new friends

I long knew that this was going to happen sooner or later.

So I decided to crash their outing! I hope they (Yile and wanting) didn't find it awkward, at least I didn't!

Okay I know this sounds confusing, but I have no idea how to explain it. Something like we are friend's friends that hear about each other all the time.

I guess this is what you call as best friends, to be so direct with one another that what sounds like an insult is actually an advice.

Harry Potter and late night dinner!

well I think that photo is the nicest "close eye" photo of me ever, lol!

The movie was nice! I admit I was abit confused for certain parts since I didn't read the book/series or watch all installments, but thank goodness for brother! He seems to be very clear about what's going on throughout.

That said, the story is actually quite romantic. Like how much that Slytherin guy loves Harry Potter's mum even after she got married(and after she died!)

I wonder what has uni life done to Inggrid, It's not even a week but she looks so cui! Like ultimate cui.

A (supposedly) 5 star getaway!

So we went to Golden Palm Tree resort, which is a 40minutes drive away from KLIA(that's only if you know the way like the back of your hand. Of course, we took more than 40 minutes)

It works something like a club med, but it isn't. I love the rooms but it's quite a boring (and expensive) place! But like I said, i love the rooms, so i wouldn't mind staying in the room all day.

Or maybe it's just our room. My dad very generously booked us the Ivory Palm Villa, which is just a grade below the "presidential suite" (called Royale Palm Villa there) Our villa holds 2 rooms and a study! I slept in the study room, which is absolutely heaven because it's the only room with an aircon! The other rooms work on central air conditioning so they are pretty hot, heh^^

That place has a structure like Dubai's palm island, with the villas built on stilts above the sea!

My room! It has a stunning unrestricted view (Because my room is a corner room in the villa, so i have 2 windows with views stretching across The straits of Malacca!)

I slept on a sofa bed, which is the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. Think Ikea's sofa bed is comfortable? You haven't experienced the real deal yet.

Because there was really nothing much to do over at the resort, we signed ourselves up for this mangrove tour (Which is pretty expensive actually)

We went to the mangrove areas by boat and even planted our own mangrove trees! Then to kelongs that rear mussels and the like.

Say Hi to Chomel! She's a pet monkey kept by the captain! She's so cute and smart hahaha! I think she loves me, lol!

If you are looking for a place to relax, relax and just relax then it's definitely the place to go.

But if you are thinking of going to a place where you can not just relax for a while but pack the rest of the day with all sorts of activities, then i guess you should consider some other places!

Oh and flies are a big issue there. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. I even got bitten by this suspicious looking GREEN FLY! My goodness it was so painful and my toe even bled for awhile!

Besides that, that place is lightning prone. On our first night, the whole place experienced a black out because of the lightning! You can really see the lightning strike the sea surface right before you! IN YOUR FACE, lol. It was my first time ever to hear the start of the thunder, if you get what i mean. Like you can hear it echoing down to other places! Interesting but scary.

Remember our favourite Japanese restaurant in KL that i mentioned in my train trip post?

Yes we travelled an extra 1 hour just to go there for it! And the lady there recognises us!

Captain's album that came 2 weeks late (and the slightly failed chocolate cake that i baked)

His album was released on the 15th of July, but i only received it today! Imagine how hard I had to resist the temptation to listen to the songs online(就因为我该死的原则) And imagine how frustrating it is when I don't even know how his new album sounds like when I've been claiming that I'm a huge fan of his!

the mystery gift that comes with every preorder! (I feel abit cheated lol.)

I insist on listening to songs by it's order in the album when i listen to it for the first time, and when I know I'm definitely getting the album, I'll stop myself from listening to the songs online before I get the album just to get the sense of...surprise?

Happy that I finally have his album, yet sad that only god knows how long I have to wait for his next album again:(

That aside, I baked a toblerone chocolate cake a last thursday!

It was nice and fluffy, but all fluffiness became flakiness when it's not hot anymore, lol.

A simple but happy evening:)

Watched transformers yesterday night with nan ren!

Actually i was expecting the movie to be crappy because of the bad reviews, but it turned out to be good! Not forgetting the super hot model Rosie Huntington (ps: I'm as tall as her but nowhere as hot, unfortunately.)

Anyway, lousy me was supporting the wrong robots most of the time. I couldn't differentiate the good and bad ones clearly! So most of the time I'll be like "Eh why the good robot die!" But actually it's the bad robot.

The bucket of popcorn was so huge!

A short adventure to the bus stop after that and bused home!

I also went back to MJ yesterday for college day! To collect my, pathetic, colours award.

Luckily i got to sit next to geraldine and others! So it's not that boring.. Though i still sneaked out together with my sister(with the help of my new best friend that i made within 2 hours)

Well at least everyone seems to be doing well!

I travelled to the other end, but it was all worth it:)

I felt like I was in another country when I was in Jurong yesterday. The same sense of familiarity knowing that I'm still in Singapore yet the strange sense of foreignity.

Same HDB structures, same type of passer-bys, yet the feeling is different. For a moment, i felt homesick.

Home was an hour's train ride away. Home was an hour's train ride away!

I found it hard to blend in, weird. The people there knew that I wasn't from the west too! It's something that I still can't explain.

Weiting was telling me she noticed that students from the other parts (meaning not from pasir ris/tampines/bedok) uses a different kind of slang as us! They don't understand our humour as much too.

I still love the East:) I feel so comfortable here! That said, I guess i was trying to bring a little part of the East over to Brother when i met him yesterday. He stays in the East too but is in the West now because of NS.

It was an hour's train ride home after that. 但回家的路总是比较短。

天也黑了。在车上读书少了刺眼的阳光，多了灯光在书上柔和的照射。

觉得晚上的乘客和蔼多了。是不是因为大家都在回家的路上，所以心情也比较好？不知道是不是只有我这么想。

怎么说都好，晚上在家时还是最好:)

We finally met up 8 Saturdays late

Brother suggested meeting up at Orchard Ion for that Atas feeling, lol!

Somehow(to me), this outing proves that it's not the place that matters, it's the people whom you are with that matters!

Oh and besides that, our 518 bus ride that was supposed to take just 1 hour became 2 hours lol. There was this massive jam near mbs because of the ndp rehearsals! Another chance for us to talk more:)

Food that left us red lipped and satisfied(Tom Yam especially)

So Chinyee brought me to this place called Nakhon Kitchen for dinner last night, and judging from the queue there when it's a normal weekday evening, it does say something about the food, something good obviously.

I swear that the Tom Yam Soup tastes better than it looks by at least 10 times

Photos are not decent enough since i couldn't wait to tuck in, looking at the food through the lens was quite a torture.

Food aside, i received my SIM acceptance letter today. (And i was worrying about being rejected by them yesterday lol!) My double major application was rejected, so I'm in the Communications single degree programme.

Well at least I have wanz as my classmate for the next 3 years:)

Airport..not again!

I love our airports because it's such a convenient place for meetups! That is, if you stay in the East.

Met Eleen today, it was a really impromptu meetup with a msg from her saying "Hey woman! U come back alr right?" which led to me asking "Want to meet for dinner?" (which eventually became lunch)

Time flies when I'm with her, somehow we can always manage to make anything serious that we are talking about sound funny in the end. So i love talking to her because everything will still sound hopeful in the end. And we'll just talk for hours unknowingly, without a pause (lol)

A phonecall from Singtel(supposedly) telling her that she won some $4 rebate but she'll have to tell them her I/C and Full name. Smart us both agreed that it's a scam! I've received 3 such phonecalls from singtel already.

I love taking photos in Australia because you don't have to photoshop the photos for them to look nice. The colours there are just right

It's winter now but I don't find it cold enough. It's around 18 degrees in the day and drops to around 10degrees at night? I wore shorts everyday lol.

I would say that the main highlight of our trip is the roadtrips to la campagna, besides celebrating my sister's birthday!

There was nothing much to shop given the season. But you insist, just like i did, there's actually one perfect place to go shopping in winter/autumn!

Habour Town! They sell loads of past season stuff so you can definitely get good buys there! But if you go there in summer then it'll be pretty boring since the shops will be mainly stocked up with the non-summer clothings?

i was having mixed feelings before meeting them, getting all worried about how awkward this whole gathering would be since we haven't seen each other for around 10 years already!

I admit, i couldn't recognise the bulk of them in our class photo, but everything just started to piece themselves together after bringing up all the small little episodes that we remember

4+ years but we are still the same

had lunch with laoma on thursday! I guess it's the last time i'll be seeing her before she goes to New Zealand. It's more sad than happiness for me. Of course i'm happy for her since it's something that she likes and is looking forward to. But sad because there goes another good friend, and i don't know when we'll be able to see each other again.

I have to say that their(Garden Slug's) hygiene standards seems to have dropped. They actually brought us to this table, and i noticed a dead, but huge, cockroach right next to my chair! So i was like "sorry but is this a real cockroach?" and the guy was like "yes it is" in a no big deal manner and doesn't seem to have the intention to clean it up right away or bring us to another table despite the pretty empty restaurant. If not for their great atmosphere to talk, i guess i wouldn't want to go back there again.

I'll miss you laoma, hope life will be great for you in NZ!

btw, played badminton with huiling today! Great game but awful day.

I dropped my phone and my phone is officially dead. Nope i can't switch it on anymore. I'm really sad:(

So i turned 19 a few days back..

This year my birthday wishes were different. For the past many many years, one of my birthday wish would be wasted on hoping that my academic grades would miraculously improve. Such as "Please let me be promoted this year/ Please let me pass my Olevels with flying colours/ Please not let me fail my Alevels that badly" etc etc, along those lines.

It's the kind of wish that you know it probably wouldn't come true but you just can't help it and want to waste one of your precious birthday wish on it. Such as using your birthday wish to pray for world peace and etc.

So anyway, I think the theme for my birthday this year is appreciation. Like to appreciate and be thankful of what the people around me have been doing for me. Like what that angmoh said, i'm really lucky to have a bunch of great friends.

I still feel abit sad that i'm no longer 18:( But at least i managed to get my driver's license before i turned 19! It's definitely one of my biggest accomplishment while i was still 18.

But whether it's 18 or 19, i'm still the same person. Again it's one of things that i can say it out easily but can't do the same convincing myself.

So the countdown to my birthday begins again:)

Khalil's "15" Showcase!

the showcase was great!

Actually before i went to the showcase, i kind of regretted getting the album cos i was pretty disappointed with the songs in this album. But they sounded alot nicer live!

but the showcase was really short. I started queueing at 6pm, showcase started at 7.55pm instead of 7pm. and it ended at 9=.= and i was standing throughout.

but anyway it was really nice to be able to see him in person and catch him perform live!

had dinner at this Irish pub before the showcase!

I'm learning Malay now! Because I'm jealous of non-Malays who can speak fluent Malay to Malays. My Malay is still like crap. Actually i wanted to do a full blog post without the help of my Malay book but i just can't! Anyway i'll just continue the rest of the post in English lol.

The train ride to KL takes around 7 hours. It's really a very different experience than driving to KL! Anyway it's been at least 3 years since i last stepped in Malaysia. And probably like 5 years since i last went to KL.

I realise things don't change much in Malaysia. Actually the top priority in our agenda to KL is to visit this Japanese restaurant that we always go to when we go to KL! they serve the best scallops ever. I was still worried that the restaurant won't be there anymore BUT IT'S STILL THERE AND THE FOOD IS STILL AS NICE HAHAH!

anyway the train ride back was terrible. THE AIRCON WAS DOWN AND WE COULDN'T OPEN THE WINDOWS. goodness gracious. and because of all the delays and stuff, we were stuck on the train for 8+ hours!!

and the train was quite dirty.. never felt so happy to step back into Singapore. Civilisation, cleanliness and all.

Another round of emotional rollercoaster ride

My day started off pretty bad because i went to hand in my application forms for SIM today. Pretty demoralising huh.

Then my mood went up abit when i reached SIM because the campus looked promising..

Then it went down again when there was some problem with my cashcard so i had to pay the stupid application fees by cash. THE CASH WAS MEANT FOR KHALIL'S SHOWCASE TICKET...

and it went further down when i wasn't able to get the tickets! :((

even mac lunch wasn't able to cheer me up

then it went up abit when i saw norazo perform on musicbank. (leehyuk is some serious hot stuff man!)

and it went down when F.T Island performed because hongki was screwed up by his stylist. his company needs to fire that stylist. someone please save hongki!! save his hair and remove the earrings please.

and it went further down like really rock bottom already when HMV announced that the showcase tickets were all sold out!:(

BUT! hehehe, i went down to whitesands popular yesterday and ordered 2 khalil showcase ticket/album! They didn't promise me anything yesterday, they just told me that they'll check and give me a call today. So instead of waiting for their call i decided to call them AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY BROUGHT IN THE ALBUM+SHOWCASE TICKET FOR ME ZOMGGGGG!!

so my emotional scale went all the way up, up to cloud nine!

but I'm trying not to be too excited. What if something goes wrong and my album+ticket disappears!

ahhh, whitesands popular never fails to disappoint me. (that is, if i do get my album+tickets tomorrow!)

They brought in 队长's album for me the other time at a much lower price than what I'll have to pay at HMV! I wonder if it'll be the same this time round. Or maybe the price for the showcase+album is standard.

Luckily we went there for dinner. Can't imagine how i would be like walking under the great hot sun trying to look for the place! Well actually i can. I would be grumpy, upset, complaining non-stop..(and everything bad!)

We had a little unintentional "detour" before we got to that place! Kudos to that IT Savvy girl who whipped out her iPad to help us out with the directions. For once, iPad is pretty useful afterall

The pasta i ordered! It's okay.. i think it tastes like the pasta from MJ's canteen. It's that oily feeling and pepper.

but sometimes it's really the atmosphere and company that matters.

I might go there again because i love the hidden location!

The in charge there who helped me alot with my makeup! She's super nice. like S-U-P-E-R! There's this other guy too but didn't take photo with him heh^^

Anyway her figure damn good LOL.

Well it's really a wonderful experience. But i don't think i'll be the kind that will put on makeup when i go out, even though the experience is really wow.

You know Inggrid caught 2 guys looking at me while we were walking!! Definitely a first time for me. And i was like "sure anot..." so i kept a look out and found another 2 more guys looking at me too LOL.

Honestly, i think i look somewhat the same even with makeup. So what's up with the different treatment received!! (Not that i don't like this feeling anyway^^)

Even though the course is $200 but it's definitely worth every single cent. We even got to choose $150 worth of Bobbi Brown products! Like any product we want.

I decided to get their skincare product since i don't think i'll be putting on makeup lol. Their skincare product is really really good!

Got this two:
Extra Repair Serum and Brightening SPF50 UV protective Face Base

Since i only used it once so i can't see the effect yet, but when i used it just now it was really really good! Like my skin can absorb it easily and the sunblock doesn't come out when you perspire.

And today, I WALKED BEHIND THE MUTTONS HAHAHA! like real up close behind!

I doubt i can make a same batch again since i didn't follow the recipe very closely. I used proportion theory to figure out how much of what to add since the quantities are in lbs and i was too lazy to convert HAHAHA

Driving lesson today made me a super happy girl!

My favourite instructor taught me today, and he still remembers me!! He was like "eh! (in an excited tone) very long never see you already!"

I was already very excited even before the lesson once i got to know that he would be teaching me today, but once he said that i became even more excited and happy hahahah HE STILL REMEMBERS ME!!

He's the best best best instructor ever:)) He made me feel that vertical parking is easy hahaha!

so yesterday was DAY1 of their SYF! It was quite a last minute decision for me to go and support them, but thank goodness there were still tickets for me and huiling!

Interview and lunch!

I didn't realise (until eleen pointed out to me) that we always have pasta when we are out together. Next time we'll have something else.

My dog is unwell now, so i'll try and stay at home to spend more time with him.

I guess i'll try and bring forward my last day of work, i think my boss my understand.

So since i'm at home, it simply means that i'll have the time to watch all the dramas! No more procrastinating now!

I was trying to watch IRIS. I watched 5 episodes already but somehow it doesn't make me feel like going on to the next episode unlike other dramas!

Will be finishing baking king tonight. And i watched abit of mischievous kiss! Oh man i think mischievous kiss is not bad. The episode i watched yesterday night showed their first kiss scene, sweet until bao!

If i finish watching this one as well, it means that i've watched all 3 versions of this drama!

Just a different hairstyle

it's my first time meeting them after they got enlisted. actually brother looks somewhat the same. Boss looks better now, and i really think that he looks like some celebrity but i'm not sure who it is. Wait till i know who i'm talking about then i'll do this photo comparison lol!

we ate at EWF. Their food is really salty, as if salt is free. But their milkshake is heavenly, and sinful.

Inggrid and i went over to Haji Lane, too bad our taste in clothes are too different! Next time i'll get along another shopping kaki to go there with me!

But inggrid introduced me to this drink called Teh Halia! omg damn nice. It's the next best thing you can get right after the Taiwan papaya milk.

I'm back!

their papaya milk is the love man. It's heavenly! Somehow it tastes different from the papaya milk i make at home even with the same formula. I think it's either the milk or papaya which is different.

Didn't get alot of clothes compared to my Japan trip, but i bought so many magazines and CDs!

Their books and CDs are really cheaper! I even managed to get CNBlue's First Step Limited Edition!! (read this!)

Breakfast with weiting! :)

I love meeting up for breakfast with people. Most of the time when you meet up with people in the afternoon or what, it uses up your whole day. But meeting up for breakfast is different. You still have the afternoon and evening/night to spare.

Start early end early, and in this case ending early means having more time to do other stuff HAHAHAHAH!

Not just that, for some reason i feel that having breakfast with people is a very...intimate act LOL. I won't have breakfast with people that i'm not close to okay. It's like sharing a moment that starts of your day! The person that you are meeting is really important.

Gifts from wanz! I love the vegas card so much! It makes me feel like i'm a professional gambler. I'm definitely not using it, it's too precious:)

I'm...... Employed!

I finally got myself a job. And i think i'm really lucky to get this job. Now i'm working at Tanjong Pagar. It's a bitch to wake up early and squeeze in the train and stand for like 35minutes but i still love my work place. So far so good:) (although today is just day3)

I work from 2pm to 6pm on mondays and fridays, 9am to 6pm from tuesday to thursday. Actually it's because of my driving lessons, so my boss asked me to come at 9am when i don't have driving lessons and 2pm when i have driving lessons. Nice right!

What I have been doing

Well i have been keeping myself occupied with all sorts of things.

Meet ups and stuff. Compiling my own Fashion file

Baking. I made chocolate pudding some time back. It's the easiest thing ever. You won't go wrong with it. Too easy. I added a little sponge base at the bottom to go with the chocolate pudding, it's heavenly, but sinful.

Expanding my Stamp Collection. I wonder how many people still collect stamps nowadays. I find it so meaningful! But it's a very tedious process. First you'll need to soak it in water, then dry it, and then when it's dried you have to iron it. And i hate it when people use double sided tape to stick their stamps onto the envelope. Why can't they just use the adhesive function of the stamp?

Besides that, i have been writing my little novel. Heh it's in chinese.

I wanted to write one back then after O Levels. Actually back then i already wrote 6 chapters. But i find them so lousy and immature now! Lousy plot, childish development. So i've decided to write a brand new one. Who knows, maybe 2 years down the road i'll find what i'm writing now childish again.

Job wise.. heh i'll tell you more soon:) Because things are only 80% confirmed!

Oh and finding awesome bands and singers! Well right now i'm listening to The Black Keys. It never fails to make my day whenever i find a new track to listen to.

I managed to get a pair of free tickets since I'm a student of the Italian school.

Emotional Roller-coaster ride and other photos.

I'm not lying when i said i'm not upset with my results. I have no regrets either. I know i've tried my best already. My teachers know that, my parents know that.

But why must there be people who like to assume that i didn't try my best just because i didn't do well? The nature of our society i suppose.

I'm feeling sad because i feel that i'm getting further and further away from my goal.

All these years where I've been working so hard towards trying to into a local uni. It's all gone now i suppose.

Like what i said on facebook, i have dreams and hopes, but my wings can only bring me thus far.

I'm really touched that there are so many people out there who genuinely cares, people that i didn't expect to care about me. Teachers like Mr Wong who volunteered to write me a recommendation letter, the Band Mr Wong who told me that even though my wings can't take me to where i want, my limbs can and the journey will be tough, but every step takes me closer to my goal. Ms Sathya with her encouraging words that made me cry, and her 3 hugs (hah!)Seniors like Erica, Meiyan, Qiqin, jiayun etc who are so encouraging and helpful too. Especially Erica, she's so damn nice please, and she really helped me alot.

I'm still confused about how should i move on from here.

But actually, there's nothing much for me to be confused about. It's just me being stubborn, not willing to give up that little ray of hope of being able to get into a local uni miraculously.

Alot of people told me that whether it's a local uni or private uni, in future when i get my cert it'll not make a great difference. And i guess it's really time to remind myself that it's not which route i take to get to my destination that matters the most. It's the process and whether i get to reach my final destination in the end that matters the most.

I can tell myself i have no regrets. I tell myself that everyday. I know i have put in my best already. What more can i ask for from myself?

To be honest, after getting back my results, i have been getting my best night's sleep ever in my life. Because there's nothing for me to worry about. There's no next step, as of yet. Ironic or not, that's the truth.

Everything happens for a reason. And I'll always tell myself this: "You can't fly if you only look up at the sky. You can't cross the ocean if you only gaze into it."

It's my mind that's making me feel that I'm getting further and further away from my goal. But that's not true. It's not like my A'level cert is worth nothing. My mind is my obstacle. I'm in fact getting closer to my goal. It may not be a huge step forward, but it's still a step.

That aside, i went to wanz's house on saturday! AhBear is so cute:)

Nylon rocks, love nylon. Teen vogue is pretty good too, girlfriend and dolly is a must get as well. Well basically everything is a must get. Once you've read them, you'll find our local magazines shitty. Especially seventeen, it's rubbish. But i still buy it every month=.=

Too bad i'll have make a trip down to kino to get them, how troublesome.

And i'm using my new phone already. Well i really miss my old phone. Although i always abuse it, call it stupid and stuff, at the end of the day I still love it. (But my favourite is still N73, I still use it sometimes haha!)

Macarons from TWG!

Of course i didn't buy them, my classmate from Italian Class gave it to me as a gift for taking down notes for her for all the lessons that she didn't come. I'm pretty sure it's expensive. Macarons are expensive, stuff from TWG are expensive too.

I've never been a huge fan of Macarons, partly because i find it overpriced. But it's expensive because they are difficult to make, and they are very temperamental. Even with the same formula and ingredients, there's no guarantee that it will turn out right.

The best Macarons I've had to date is definitely Pierre Hermé macarons (had them when i was in London), I'm sure TWG's macarons is nice too. Ahh, my Italian classmates are just too nice.

Went for my FTT E-Trial today! Camalyn was in the same class as me! Saw baochuan and sarah too. I hope i can pass my FTT tomorrow. I did 5 trials today, failed the first one but passed the subsequent four. I really hope i can pass my FTT tomorrow! I got no time to waste already man.

I just want a phone with a keypad. I wonder what's so difficult about that! Every phone company seems to be so hyped up with the touchscreen fever.

Like hello? I know the market for keypad phones is not really profitable anymore, but hey it's a still a market right!

Out of no choice (really no keypad choices for me) i'm going to settle on Nokia C6-01. Yea another nokia phone. I'm so comfortable with Nokia now that i don't feel like changing to other brands!

Black Swan with Jervis yesterday!

Black Swan is a really...amazing movie. I'll call it 心灵上的恐怖片 too. Comparing this and Schindler's List, i would say that both are scary in different ways although both are considered as 心灵上的恐怖片 to me.

But there are just so many scenes that are pretty awkward to watch! The M18 rating is a warning man. But luckily i watched it together with Jervis! There's nothing much called "awkward" between us okay, FEEL THE POWER OF OUR FRIENDSHIPZXZX:D

ANYWAY WE SAW FANN WONG AND CHRISTOPHER LEE! They were trying to disguise themselves. They were using the 颓废 theme to disguise themselves hah!

and i saw Vanessa and her boyf! (i think that guy next to her is her boyf). Actually she was the one who spotted me, but too bad i didn't manage to walk over and say hi or something.

I got a huge shock when i first saw him! He's so tanned.... and muscular(whoooo!) and.. man. MAN IS THE WORD

dinner at Aston's specialities! Whoa it's cheap! But i don't really like their pasta salad, i'm not a pepper fan. But Jervis loves it totally. He's a pepper fan you see.

WE ATE SO MUCH YESTERDAY! Jervis' fault lor! Right after dinner we had popcorn (well that i can't blame him on that since i was the one who wanted popcorn) and then after the movie he suggested dessert so we had french crêpe(i was damn sua ku okay. I was like "eh why don't have ice cream in the crêpe one? And jervis went " This is french crêpe not Japanese crêpe" ) and after dessert Jervis wanted MOS Burger Corn soup but they ran out of it, so he went to get bubble tea instead. (FYI my gastronomical adventure stopped at the crêpe part. ) Jervis and his endless cravings haha!

We went to try Freshness Burger. It doesn't taste as good as it looks. Their so called "sweet onions" doesn't taste sweet at all but everything else bad.

I just transferred the Japan photos over to my computer. *Claps* for my incredible first step!

Went back to see my cutest juniors yesterday!:)

Actually i didn't plan to step into the school, I didn't want to see any teachers! But Grace.. well she successfully persuaded me to go in, and i stayed for like 1 and a half hours instead of the 10 minutes that i planned to.

Really need to work on my fundamentals! But it's so boring to practise alone at home. It's so nice to join them for sectionals yesterday!

Italian Class was a disaster today. I couldn't catch what the teacher was saying! You can say that 3/4 of the time i was trying to keep my head out of the water. The remaining 1/4, i just gave up and drowned back in. It's so horrible, i missed out on so much! Walau eh. I feel so dejected and i've lost interest already. I'll force myself to go though, for the sake of Elizabeth lol

Driving was awesome though. I did S course and Crank course without stalling at all leh! Gives me hope:)

I must really find time to upload my Japan photos, too lazy man. How ironic, i'm supposed to be free now yet i'm so busy that i don't even have time to watch dramas. Back then when i should be studying hard for A's i could still squeeze out time to watch dramas. Yet now... what's going on man.

About my job.. well i think i've made up my mind already. I just don't know how to do it, i suck at turning people down man.

I finally got myself a job! Haven't sign any contract so things are not really confirmed.. but i'm feeling pretty unsure about it anyway.

I'm going to be a course developer. Develop course and modules to be taught at a tuition centre for primary school chinese.

The meeting earlier on with my bosses was really stressful, but my main concern is whether this whole thing is a bogus. I'm just really really scared that i'll be scammed or what, although everything looks okay up till now.

They asked if i want to be paid a lump sum or royalty. This whole thing sounds so grown up and serious.

If this thing is real, then it'll be really awesome, and i must be damn lucky to land myself this job. Flexible working hours, freedom to get another job to work if i want to, can work at home or anywhere i want, not forgetting the great sense of achievement I'll get after i setup the whole thing.

But point is i doubt i'm this lucky, and this whole thing is really too good to be true. Ahh stressed. What a stressful job too, i thought i'll just be getting some job that requires minimum brain work, hmmmmm.

New year, old traditions

Actually i wasn't expecting to go 拜年-ing or to have people coming over to 拜年 this year, so i didn't even buy any new clothes for CNY! But well i do have some new clothes in my wardrobe. In conclusion, i feel pretty under dressed for this cny.

Somehow i prefer my dad's friends than our relatives, and within relatives, i like my aunts and uncles that are under my other grandma's more than our direct aunts and uncles.

I thought the meetup would be a very short one. But in the end we just had so much cock to talk about(literally, you just have to listen to xh's stories!)

So after dinner Lou, yihao, xuanhao and i went to whitesands macs to continue. Xuanhao even treated me to ice cream! From now on i shouldn't call him stingy hao anymore! Yihao is the bombz man. Our humour sense is on the same level lol!

Slowly, they'll all be enlisting one by one. Must grab them when they book out!

I'm so happy that in the end, my efforts are being appreciated. It may be really demoralising if the whole world doesn't appreciate you, but if there's one, just one, i guess we should feel contented. Society like the one we are in nowadays, we can't expect much out of it.

Superjunior's Super Show 3!

really have to thank shifu for giving me the pair of tickets!

Well, before the concert i don't think i can even qualify as a casual fan of suju!

I've only heard of Sorry sorry, Bonamana, No other, Don't don and Supergirl before the concert! So I was like spamming their songs before the concert but failed in the end.

And i could only recognise Leeteuk, Siwon, HeeChul, Shindong, Kyuhun and Donghae! But of course now i can recognise more lah. Actually just one more HAHAH FAIL.

LOVE RYEOWOOK TO THE MAX NOW. (yep, he is the one more that i can recognise now lol! The others i know their face but cannot match the name lah okay)

RYEOWOOK IS SO CUTE! He stood at our side most of the time. THERE WERE ALOT OF ONE TO ONE MOMENTS OKAY! There was once he smiled at me AND I COULD SEE A SPARKLE IN HIS EYE!

Yea we were so damn close to the stage. Although mui and I didn't queue, we still managed to get an awesome spot. We were right in front, by the barrier! It's like my first time being so close man. (Not considering the premiere of course. That's definitely closer haha!)

WE EVEN MANAGED TO TOUCH LEETEUK AND EUNHYUK'S HAND! Their hands damn muscular okay! WALAU.

crazy liao. Anyway we were standing next to Huiyi! So qiao3, she was there with her friend. And. she went to queue at 1pm? Mui and i went at around 3pm. But we were standing right next to them. I wonder where did all the other people in between us went to...

They (SuJu) were running all around the place man. They had this massive extended stage which they were at most of the time. Oh and although standing right in front is awesome, there are sucky moments such as being super close to the explosive stuff. Irritating ttm.

I guess you can call me a casual fan of SuJu now, haha!

Awesome possum! Damn i'm so lucky, Hope I'll still be able to get starstruck opportunities heh:)

Ps: SAW SUJU'S VAN ON THE WAY HOME AFTER THE CONCERT! They were on the van but because their windows were tinted so i couldn't see them, but alot of other vans were surrounding their van and taking photos, how dangerous!

The Green Hornet Premiere!

I've never thought that i would get a chance to attend a premiere, let alone attend the "green" carpet!

And it's not just being present at the green carpet, but scoring awesome positions! I really really can't thank wanz enough for bringing me there, really.

It's an eye opener. It's a starstruck evening. It's a memory that mere pictures and videos can't relive. It's an awesome experience. It's.. just something that i can't think of an appropriate word or phrase to describe no matter how hard i try and think. Saying that it's "something" is simply an understatement.

Thanks to the special connections wanz had,(hah!)we managed to get the best spot i would say. It's like right next to the press, and right by the barrier of the carpet? It's the spot where if we can't get autographs, then the rest of the people there don't have to think of getting autographs. Okay get what i mean?

The main highlights:

1)WANZ AND I TOOK A PHOTO WITH JAYMEE OMG

2)I told Jeremy that he's really handsome, and he looked at me and said thankyou! He was so shy! [Who is Jeremy? See picture below.]

3)I SHOOK MICHEL GONDRY'S HAND

4)I MANAGED TO GET AN AUTOGRAPH FROM MICHEL GONDRY

5)Had a 1-to-1 moment with Michel Gondry, hahah! Well, i said thank you to him after he shook my hand(If i'm not wrong, i was the only lucky one who managed to get a handshake from him! But that's because most of the people just wants to get autographs and up close photos, so i was the only one who stretched out my hand for a handshake, hahaha!)so anyway, he shook my hand,(& i swear that it was a really sincere handshake from him, not like a touch and go kind of handshake.) looked at me and said "no, thank YOU!"

So just in case you guys are confused, i said "Thank you" and he said "No, thank you" back to me, the no referring to not me thanking him but he thanking me. Why am i stressing so much about this point anyway? [Dear Michel Gondry, i'm now officially your fan:)]

Note: Just in case you guys are wondering how did i manage to get so many photos (FYI 510 photos and 2 videos were taken) but still have free hands for handshakes and autographs, I wasn't the one who took all the photos! Haonan, using my gear, was our photographer of the evening! Given our advantageous spot and Haonan's to-die-for height, (plus my awesome gear) the photos he took should be one of the better, if not best ones from the public.

6)MANAGED TO GET AN AUTOGRAPH FROM SETH ROGEN! He's so damn cute♥

7)HAD ANOTHER 1-TO-1 MOMENT WITH SETH. Cos when he walked over to our side, he took the marker that i offered(which is wanz's marker btw) to sign my book and all the other's. Then when he was about to leave he was still holding onto the marker. So i gestured to him the marker, then he gave this really cute expression with one eyebrown raised, and then he realised what i was gesturing about, so he returned me the marker. Okay the whole thing was like, 2 seconds only bah. But it's still considered as my 1-to-1 moment with Seth right?

8)Stood ultra close to Jay! Although i didn't manage to get any handshake or autograph from him, he stood really close to me when he was having a short interview with AXN. (AXN was stationed right next to me, hence the photo with Jaymee) I think this is better than attending his concert in some sense. Well in a concert, even if i can get the first row tickets, i doubt i can come this close to him. All i need is to plug in some earphones and play some of his songs to pretend that i'm in his concert,right?

Saw many other local celebs up close, but well, i would say that they are peanuts in this event.

And because we are situated right next to the cameras of channels such as MTVAsia, Channel5 and Reuters and many other more, we were like in many of the videos or news clips HAHAH! Apparently, wanz haonan and i are already on Taiwan News HAHAHHAHA. Short cameo appearance but it's still a cameo appearance. In some way, it's pretty embarrassing LOL! Oh, and because we were right next to AXN, we were like in their background for almost all of their interviews LOL.

ROCK 30!

attended 滚石三十演唱会 with my parents!

Got super ultra good seats man, hahaha! We got row 18, but actually it's row 8 from the center stage cos the first 10 rows are being split to the left and right of the center stage. Awesome:D

this is how close we were, without zoom! Actually we were closer than that. Somehow the camera just makes it look further away.

awesome concert man. Loved wuyuetian's perf the most of course, hahah! Just that i couldn't really understand their choice of songs. It would we perfect if they played their "high" songs!

I took like 400 plus photos, but i only chose 15 hahah! lazy man. I got so many photos haven't upload yet, but i think i'm not uploading liao lah, too lazy.

Anyway i took my SATs on Saturday! Their math is so damn easy. I hope i can get a 99 percentile for their math. English... well i tried my best.

Busy friday!

Sometimes why am i so busy when i don't have job, lol!

Well friday was really a very packed day for me. Had BTT in the morning (and i passed!:DD) then met up with wanz to go shopping at orchard, followed by her surprise birthday celebration at timbre with supernaturals, and then off to the airport for perc outing. It was really about following the planned schedule in order to be on track for everything (Although i was really tempted by supernats to not go for perc outing..)
